2018 Merlot

This is a savory, bold, and structured wine with concentrated flavors of black plum and blackberry, along with hints of dried herbs and mineral notes of crushed stone. It offers a silky texture and elegant tannins. The wine is crafted from 99.9% Merlot and 0.1% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, sourced from Cakebread's estate vineyards throughout Napa Valley, including Suscol Springs Ranch and a warm valley floor vineyard in Rutherford. It was aged for 17-18 months in French oak barrels.
