2022 Saxon Priest Vineyard Pinot Noir

Saxon Priest is EnRoute's highest elevation site, closest in proximity to the Pacific Ocean. The vines are highly stressed, yielding super low quantities with outstanding concentration, resulting in incredibly powerful fruit. This vineyard contributes structure, color, and concentration, with savory undertones supporting dark fruit flavors. Enticing aromas of Bing cherry, ripe raspberry, and Japanese plum lead into subtle layers of Chinese five spice, cola, and cedar. On the palate, the wine is bright and silky, with a mineral edge and fine-grained tannins that lend energy and lift. Savory-earthy notes mingle with fresh acidity, giving way to a long, elegant finish that reflects the vineyard's coastal influence.

The nose of this lavishly fruited Pinot bursts from the glass with concentrated aromas of raspberry, cherry coulis and sarsaparilla.
